For this personal project, I designed and built a compact studio setup for product photography and 3D scanning. The goal was to create a controlled environment where lighting, camera position, and object rotation could be easily managed, making it simple to capture consistent, high-quality images from all angles.

The setup includes an automated turntable with adjustable speed and integrated Philips Hue lighting, allowing for flexible control through an app. The design makes it possible to scan or photograph objects efficiently, only needing to adjust the camera height for complete coverage.

A big part of the process involved experimenting with materials, combining 3D-printed PLA panels and wood into a single, sturdy construction. The panels were designed with built-in connection pins for assembly and were reinforced by melting the seams together with a heated tip, ensuring structural strength while keeping the form lightweight. Afterward, the interior was smoothed and finished with filler spray, creating a clean, uniform surface ideal for photography.
