Brekr Cycling Helmet

For my graduation internship at Brekr, I worked on designing a new cycling helmet for e-bike users. The goal was to create a helmet that would feel natural to wear, combining style, comfort, and safety in a way that fits Brekr’s rugged yet refined identity.

Throughout the project, I focused on developing a helmet concept that not only matched the brand’s look but also addressed real-world needs, like ventilation, a secure fit, and a way to lock the helmet directly to the bike. To create a realistic and production-ready prototype, existing components from brands like MIPS and Fidlock were incorporated as examples of potential OEM parts.

The design process included multiple rounds of clay modeling, 3D modeling in SOLIDWORKS, and hands-on testing. By building and testing prototypes with potential users, I was able to gather real feedback and directly integrate it into new iterations, helping the design evolve in a way that stayed true to user needs while keeping it practical for production.

The project challenged me to balance creative exploration with technical precision, keeping an eye on manufacturability while staying true to the Brekr spirit.
